We watered Eve's flowers and then went to the park to feed the ducks. There were only a few, usually there are lots. Dad hit one in the head with some bread by accident. He didn't mind though.
Then we threw some stones into the river. I like throwing stones.
When we got home we were getting out of the car and we saw a tiny little animal like a mouse running across the road. We followed him over to some leaves where he was hiding.
He looked like a mouse but had a big long nose. We thought it was a baby hedgehog.
I wanted to take him home but dad said his parents would be looking for him so we left him there. Then we looked him up in the animal book and dad said he was a Pygmy Shrew - Ireland's smallest mammal. Here's a picture.
I still think it was a baby hedgehog.
